Representative Andrew Gray | House District 20
Prior to joining the legislature, Andrew spent 5 years caring for Alaska’s veterans at the Alaska VA. He deployed overseas with the Alaska Army National Guard in 2019.* As treasurer of the Campbell Park Community Council, he took an active role in finding solutions to community problems. He co-founded the grassroots organization Anchorage Action which has sought to find evidence-based solutions for homelessness and to shine a light on corruption in municipal government. He hosts The East Anchorage Matters Podcast where he interviews Alaskan's of interest and gives a legislative update. He and his husband Jay have a 9-year-old son, and their family attends the Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
As a representative Andrew is committed to protecting our personal freedoms, standing up for education, demanding fiscal responsibility, and creating strong, bipartisan working relationships. He is the co-chair of the Freshman Caucus with Representative Ruffridge (R).
